Museums
There is a little bit of history everywhere you look in Fredericksburg. The best place to learn about the area is at the Pioneer Museum. However, there is also a self-guided walking tour of the historic district with a handy map that can be found here.
Did you know that Fredericksburg has one of the most comprehensive museum exhibits dedicated to the Pacific Theater during World War II? You can learn about it all here at the National Museum of the Pacific War.
Another must stop for any visitor is the beautiful Lyndon B. Johnson State Park & Historic Site. The best time to visit is during the spring when the wildflowers are in full bloom.

When the men are away the women can play! Fredericksburg has many charming shopping areas for antiques, trade goods, unique clothing boutiques, crafts, jewelery, cooking supplies, furniture, hunting supplies, and much more! If you’re in the area during the 3rd Saturday of every month there is a huge flea market event called Fredericksburg Trade Days. Here you will find something for the whole family including a biergarten with live music!
